We had a very Special Day at Christ's Hospital on Saturday 30th September
CH Lodge Members, their friends and families (Masonic and Non-Masonic) had a splendid day out at the School. After a brief masonic meeting, the masons joined their families and friends for a talk by the Clerk of Christ's Hospital, Mr Greg Andrews, on the CH Foundation, then a pre-lunch bubbly reception with the new Headmaster, Mr Simon Reid. After watching the School parade into Dining Hall to the strains of the Band, all sat down to a sumptuous lunch in the Court Room. In the afternoon there was a choice between an organ recital in the Chapel or a trip to the School Museum. The day was topped off by tea and an enormous 120th Lodge Birthday cake (the 80% not consumed was distributed to the nearby boarding houses). A good time was had by all.
The Lodge wishes to express its most grateful thanks to the CH Development Office, in particular to the Director of Development, Mr Hugo Middlemas, for the outstanding job they and the rest of the CH Staff did to make the day so memorable.
